Following discussions with our Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Emma Harrington, Emma has decided to leave the organisation to focus on new opportunities.

I had the opportunity to wish Emma well with her future career and thank her for her contributions. While Emma was only with us for a relatively brief period, under her leadership we have moved forward with our plans to be an even stronger contributor to economic growth as Australia’s peak standards body.

The board will take steps immediately to start a search for our next CEO. We are not appointing an interim or acting CEO through this transition and instead, the board will be working directly with the executive leadership team supporting them on achieving our shared short and mid-term strategic goals. As a result, the directors will be spending time at Standards Australia's head office supporting the executive team so they can get on with the jobs that we have asked them all to do.

The board and executive leadership team are one in our shared vision and commitment to Standards Australia, to our teams, our members, and to the communities we all serve. I will provide updates as I can as we work through this transition and thank you all for your commitment and support for our great organisation.
