IWD2020: Each for Equal

March 9, 2020

This International Women’s Day (IWD) the theme #EachforEqual asks us to consider our individual responsibility to gender balance. IWD is about spreading the important message that every single one of us can help create a world of equal opportunity.

Here, at Standards Australia we are proud to support equality and know while International Women’s Day is an important time to recognise this effort, facilitating it, is the ongoing priority that we all need to work towards every day.

Standards Australia is growing rapidly as an organisation, meaning we are bringing on people to support even more opportunity and productivity.

Today, we employ 165 staff of which 99 are women. We are committed to ensuring representation and balance is present across all levels of our business with 20 of our 36 managers being female.

As we build best-practice standards for the many communities across the country, diverse perspectives and contribution is key. Standards strive to create a safer, more sustainable and innovative Australia, a huge part of succeeding in this effort is by ensuring equality and balance.

Today our staff are celebrating by making a pledge and throwing up the #EachforEqual sign in our IWD video.

If all of us as are contributors, supporters and believers of this cause, together we can build and nourish an equal world.
