Ideally, my dream job needed to cover a few key points:

• Something that had a purpose to get excited about
• Ideally had career progression or development opportunities
• Work with positive, like-minded people
• Be able to make a difference and have an impact on our community
• Had flexibility and a decent wage
• Possibility cuddle puppies all day….

I have been working at Standards Australia for just over 12 months and apart from cuddling puppies all day, I have been lucky enough to tick off all the other characteristics on my wish list!

That is my own point of view, being Head of HR and Learning and Development, I was really interested to see what everyone else thought. In late 2018, we conducted an Employee Engagement Survey, the results were incredibly positive. One of my favourite outcomes was the answer to the question, “what do you like most about working at Standards Australia?”

The #1 answer was; Our People.

We wanted to share this, as we are aware that there may be some pre-conceived ideas that working at Standards Australia might be a bit vanilla. So, we are grabbing this opportunity to show off the incredibly diverse, dynamic, committed team, that I have the pleasure to work with every day and all the fun that comes with it.
