Chief Executive Officer, Standards Australia
I am incredibly proud to be joining Standards Australia at such an important time for our stakeholders and the broader Australian community.
What has resonated so strongly since commencing is the breadth of positive impact we collectively have, along with the passion of our members, people, contributors and supporters. If not for the tireless work of you all, we would not be able to collectively deliver on our mission of “empowering communities”.
Another highlight since joining was seeing the wonderful positive impact made by women across our organisation, members and stakeholders. As part of International Women’s Day, we hosted 'Celebrating Women in Standards'. The event was a great opportunity to hear from women who are positively impacting standards development, celebrate their successes, and learn from their experiences. Our panel discussion featured Tracey Gramlick, Board Chair at Standards Australia; Louise McGrath, Head of Industry Development and Policy at Australian Industry Group; Bernadette Foley, Acting Chief Engineer at Engineers Australia; and Tristah Allen, Statutory Electrical Engineer at Glencore, who shared insights on encouraging diversity and the benefits of participating in standards development.
As we turn to FY26 and beyond, your Board and Executive Leadership Team came together this month to set the future direction of Standards Australia and agree on the Strategic Priorities for the business going forward. At the heart of this remains a core focus on all our stakeholders, the experience we provide when working with Standards Australia, and more broadly celebrating the positive impact we make.
I look forward to continuing to meet with many of you and sharing more information on our Strategy in due course, including how we plan to not only strengthen collaboration with our members, but also build on the importance of all of our partnerships.
Finally, I want to share my thanks to the Board and our people who have both provided such a warm welcome and enabled such continued progress through our transition.
