Whether you’ve never participated in standards development before or are a veteran committee member, Standards Australia is seeking experts for two new and exciting projects. The only requirement to be involved is expertise in at least one of the key areas outlined below.

Both projects are being managed through the Incubator – an initiative set up in 2017 to bring the speed and agility of a start-up to Standards Australia. We are aiming to complete both projects over the course of 6-12 months with support from key government agencies, industry groups, and technical experts.

Building Commissioning

Supported by the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH), we are creating a new technical specification to provide a framework for the design and installation, testing, compliance and verification of buildings.

Thermal Performance of Buildings

We are pleased to be working with the Air Filtration and Ventilation Association of Australia (AIVAA), to create a new handbook aimed at providing guidance on the application of AS/NZS ISO 9972:2015, Thermal performance of buildings - Determination of air permeability of buildings - Fan pressurization method. Professionals in Australia with experience in any of the following areas should get in touch:
