General Conditions of Contract - Industry Roundtable
Statements
On 28 February 2018, representatives from industry, government, legal and the construction sector participated in a general conditions of contract roundtable. This is the second roundtable, facilitated by Standards Australia, with the first being held in late 2017.
The outcome of this most recent roundtable concluded that there is general support for a contemporary Australian Standard for general conditions of contract and that further discussions are required from interested parties to establish a clearly articulated and agreed scope for any future work.
Standards Australia will continue to maintain a dialogue with representatives from the sector and remains committed to working with these stakeholders through the process as required.
