TEDxSydney brings together world-leading experts and professionals: providing a platform where people across industries can connect by sharing ideas, with a cultural focus and emphasis on conversation, debate and more. TEDx helped Standards Australia celebrate its centenary year through a partnership underpinned by a custom-made event, Tomorrow’s Technology: Shaping our Future. The live event was held on October 6 and focused on Critical and Emerging Technologies such as bioscience, AI and the ethical and legal issues arising from advanced technology.Speakers included:
- Raina McIntyre, Professor of Global Biosecurity & NHMRC Principal Research Fellow at UNSW
- Allan McCay, Deputy Director of the Sydney Institute of Criminology
- Lyria Bennett Moses, Director of the UNSW Allens Hub for Technology, Law and Innovation and a Professor and Associate Dean (Research) in the Faculty of Law and Justice at UNSW Sydney
