Payment Terms and Conditions
By paying for a copyright licence, in addition to your agreement terms and conditions which continue to apply, additionally, you understand and agree to be legally bound by these terms, Standards Australia’s Privacy Policy and all applicable laws and regulations.
- 1. Authorisation
- By utilising this payment gateway, you authorise the transaction and confirm you are the authorised account holder or have appropriate authorisation to use the selected payment method.
- 2. Payment
- You acknowledge and agree to the following:
- (a) You have been directed to Standards Australia’s authorised payment gateway provider.
- (b) You must submit a current, valid and acceptable method of payment to the gateway provider
- (c) Subject to sub-clause 2 (d), your payment card details are submitted to the gateway provider and cannot be viewed by Standards Australia.
- (d) Standards Australia will receive certain information about you from the gateway provider including payment card details in a hashed format, user metadata information such as browser version and device type, your name and IP address.
- (e) Standards Australia cannot guarantee the performance or availability of the gateway provider.
- 3. Privacy and Security
- (a) By making a payment, you agree and acknowledge that your personal information will be used in accordance with Standards Australia’s Privacy Policy, which may be updated by Standards Australia from time to time. - (b) Standards Australia’s payment gateway provider maintains Level 1 PCI DSS Compliance status and your data will be handled in compliance with relevant security standards.
- 4. Liability and Indemnity Limitations
- In the event of a payment processing error or technical issues, to the extent permitted by law Standards Australia does not accept any liability. If liability cannot be limited or excluded, Standards Australia’s total liability is limited to the value of the invoice. You agree to indemnify Standards Australia for any claims, damages, or losses arising from your use of the payment gateway.
