New proposal to re-establish ISO/PC 245 on Cross-border trade of second-hand goods
A proposal to re-establish ISO/PC 245 on “Cross-border trade of second-hand goods — Part 1: General requirements" has been submitted by SAC (China) to revise ISO 20245, with the plan to split it into two parts.
ISO member bodies are invited to consult the proposal available for download here. This part establishes general requirements and minimum screening criteria for second- hand goods that are traded, sold, offered for sale, donated, or exchanged between countries. This part is intended to help protect health, safety, sustainability in which second-hand goods interact, when used by customers and is applicable to second- hand goods that are shipped across at least one international border, and where the intended end user is a consumer.

New Field of Technical Activity - TS/P 319 Safety, security and good production practices of cannabis facilities and operations
A proposal to establish a new ISO technical committee on “Safety, security and good production practices of cannabis facilities and operations" has been submitted by SCC
(Canada). ISO member bodies are invited to consult the proposal available for download here.
Standardization in the field of safety, security and quality systems of cannabis facilities and operations in jurisdictions where such facilities and operations are legal, covering the supply chain from cultivation, processing, production, packaging, distribution, transportation and retail stores for cannabis and cannabis products.
Standardization includes but not limited to terminology; methods of tests; cannabis equipment and their operation; waste disposal; air quality; good production practices; good manufacturing practices; security of facilities and operations; and related quality management systems.
