Standards Australia have two key objectives in the space – ensuring consumers are informed of the latest international developments and the corresponding standards are adopted nationally.Many consumer products standards are referenced by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

- Working alongside stakeholders on key international technical committees, including ISO/TC 181, Safety of toys
